Psalm 1:3 (NIV)
3 That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither—
whatever they do prospers.

January 2026 Devotion
From the Desk of Rev. Sharele Hatfield
A new year invites us to notice where God has placed us. Before any bloom comes a planting, and God has planted each of us with purpose. Every part of our lives becomes the soil where He grows something beautiful. Our 2026 theme reminds us that God grows and strengthens us right where we are.
January Focus Flower: The Seed
January begins our year with the smallest, humblest symbol of growth—the seed. Seeds are easily overlooked, yet they carry entire gardens inside them. They remind us that:
- Growth begins in hidden places
- God is at work long before we see results
- Small beginnings are sacred beginnings
- What God plants, He faithfully tends
January is our “seed month”—a time to prepare the soil of our hearts and allow God to plant what He desires for the year ahead.
God often places us in seasons that feel ordinary, quiet, or even uncomfortable. Yet Scripture shows that God’s greatest work often begins in hidden soil. Seeds do not sprout overnight. They rest, they root, and they grow in darkness before they ever break through the surface.
Reflection Questions:
- What seed—habit, prayer, boundary, relationship, or step of faith—is God asking me to nurture?
- Where have I resisted being “planted”?
- What small act of obedience is God calling me to begin?
Blooming is not about perfect conditions. It is about trusting the One who plants, waters, and brings forth fruit in His timing.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for planting me with purpose. Prepare the soil of my heart for the seeds You desire to grow this year. Help me trust Your timing, Your placement, and Your care. Teach me to bloom right where You have planted me. Amen.

Privately share your prayer needs with our Woman 2 Woman Team.
We are honored to pray with you.

About Woman 2 Woman (W2W) Ministry
Ministry to Women
Purpose:
- To teach each woman how to become a spiritually mature wife, mother, daughter and sister
Scripture focus:
- 1 Timothy 2:9-10 (NIV)
- 9 I also want the women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, adorning themselves, not with elaborate hairstyles or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, 10 but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God.
- 1 Timothy 3:11 (NIV)
- 11 In the same way, the women[a] are to be worthy of respect, not malicious talkers but temperate and trustworthy in everything.
Who We are:
- Woman 2 Woman Ministry is a joyful, loving fellowship of women who grow together in faith. We encourage one another toward spiritual maturity in every role God has given us. Anchored in Scripture’s call to godly character, kindness, and integrity, we cultivate a grace filled space where every woman is welcomed, supported, and invited to flourish in Christ
