We have witnessed our congregation come together and support one another through these trying times of the past few months, still we cannot help but be mindful of the developing situation facing our state and region.

Recently, the Governor’s office announced new mandates for occupancy and event gatherings. Some information listed churches as being exempt from these new orders, some did not.

However, based on a number of factors including these new directives and the significant increase in COVID-19 cases in our area we have decided to suspend in-person services at PPCC until further notice.

As you can imagine, this was a very difficult decision for our leadership team to make. However, given the direction that the numbers are moving in and our strong commitment to the safety of our congregation and protecting those that are most vulnerable, it was a decision we felt we could not avoid.

Our Sunday and Wednesday services will continue to be broadcast via live stream to our social media as well as our “Word Break” program on the Pittsburgh Faith and Family Channel.

We will continue to strive to be as proactive as possible in our efforts to protect the safety and well-being of our parishioners and the clients we serve in our residential program. As our Peniel family knows, ours is a unique environment with very unique circumstances that often requires increased vigilance and attention. We encourage you to continue to observe the directives of leadership to wear a mask in public and practice social distancing.
